MASK ALIVE – Mesa

FreeCultural Coalition’s 6th Annual Mask Alive! Festival of Masks brings a crowd pleasing line-up of performances to Pioneer Park in Mesa every March. Families of all ages enjoy an afternoon in the park at this free festival that celebrates the global artistic tradition of storytelling through masks.
Featuring live performances of dance and music representing cultures from around the world including Mexico, Japan, West Africa, Egypt, and more! One of the most culturally diverse events open to the public for free, Mask Alive! is always a great time that is fun for the whole family!
Attendees also have the chance to enjoy tasty treats from food trucks, purchase art directly from local artisans, and participate in free kids craft activities.
This year’s Mask Alive Festival entertainment line-up is full of amazing performances by some of your favorite local artists.

2:00 p.m. – Desert Sounds Mariachi
2:25 p.m. – World Martial Arts Academy Lion Dance Team
2:45 p.m. – Step Junk Funk / Desert Dance Theatre
3:00 p.m. – Tatiana Crespo & Chispas
3:35 p.m. – Astarte Belly Dance Troupe
3:50 p.m. – Enparoxismo Music
4:20 p.m. – Primavera Ballet Folklórico
4:40 p.m. – Japanese Taiko Drummers
5:10 p.m. – Parade of Puppets
Free and open to the public thanks to the support of event sponsors City of Mesa, Raza Development Fund, and Chicanos por la Causa.
