Description: Dulce Dance Company and The Ice House present an evening of dance. para tus ojos:for your eyes is a night of mind provoking and unique visual indulgence. Movement pieces will be performed throughout the Ice House. The performance takes place Friday May 10, 2013 @ 8 pm with a preshow starting at 7:15pm. Tickets are $15.00 and include the whole evening of sensory stimulation. It is a definte journey through space, concept, and time. The evening is host to choreograhers: Artistic Director of Dulce, Candy Jimenez, Associate, Liliana Gomez, Whitney Waugh, and New York’s Pamela Pietro. The evening is full of premier works along with Pietro premiering a solo especially for this unique event. Candy comments that, “the energy of the Ice House feels right.” “There is just so much creative influence here.” ” I have been here for many events and am happy for such a challenge of presenting dance in a unique way here at Ice House.” “I know many other similiar events have been hosted here, but I feel that just as Dulce always does we bring a unique flavor and essence that one has not seen here before.” Pieces will have the audience travel and start in the Cathedral room, through the Column room and finally into the Silver Room where they will be seated to view the rest of the evening. The evening starts with a pre-show which includes beer/wine, fashions by George Johnson, and live music by musical guests. The evening will culminate with an after party with live energetic music, and dj where the audience can than shake their energies off with refreshements. Giveaways by local vendors, artists, and restaurants will support Dulce’s fundraising efforts. In addition, with Pamela in town Dulce will host a Pamela Pietro Workshop at Phoenix Center for the Arts on Thursday May 9, 2013 6:00pm-7:00pm and Friday May 10, 2013 10:00am – 12:00pm. The workshop takes place at Phoenix Center for the Arts Basement Studio which is located at 1202 N. 3rd St., Phoenix, AZ 85004.
