SCPA 6th Annual Brazilian Day Festival

$5 – $12A joyful celebration of Brazil’s Independence Day, Brazilian Day Arizona showcases the country’s diverse, historic and colorful cultures. The family-friendly event offers both indoor and outdoor entertainment, including live performances and interactive demonstrations of Brazilian music, dance and martial arts.
Festival-goers enjoy the sounds of traditional samba, pagode, forro, funk and more, as well as dazzling displays of capoeira. More than 50 performers and instructors from across Brazil and the United States are featured, including Grupo Cupim do Samba, Delta Nove, DJ Seduce, Axe Capoeira, Gustavo Dantas and Neise Cordeiro, among others.
Other Brazilian Day Arizona highlights include a Samba Queen contest, face painting and arts activities for children, and more than 30 vendors. Delicious Brazilian, Argentine and Lebanese foods are available for purchase, along with the national cocktail of Brazil – the caipirinha – and other beverages.
Admission to Brazilian Day Arizona is $12 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.
