We are looking for dancers for our upcoming performance season! If chosen, dancers must be ready to start rehearsing immediately.

CLASS/AUDITION is FREE to Dancers interested in Auditioning for the upcoming season. We encourage dancers who are auditioning to attend both days.

If you are only interested in taking class, please pay $10 CASH at the Door.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED by DTW Studio Management!

AUDITION – Dancer Requirements:

Have flexible schedule and be available to rehearse and perform. Be versatile and have performance experience in modern dance.
Experience in other dance forms and performing arts disciplines is a PLUS. Must be responsible with reliable transportation.

Regularly scheduled classes/rehearsals are:
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm-9:30pm
Saturdays from 1:00pm-4:00pm (if needed)
Schedule may vary as needed.

We understand that dancers may have jobs and other obligations, so we will consider that when casting and scheduling.

REHEARSALS WILL BEGIN ASAP!
We prefer to rehearse twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. But on some occasions there may be conflicts that may change a rehearsal to a different day or another day may be added as needed.

October 22-23, 2021 – Arizona Dance Festival 2021 at Tempe Center for the Arts
November 2021 – Tempe Center for the Arts “Reopening Celebration”
November 20, 2021 – 12th Annual Herberger Theater Festival of the Arts
October-November 2021 – Dia de los Muertos
December 11-12, 2021 – 9th Annual Phoenix Festival of the Arts
January-February 2022 – Sister Moses: The Story of Harriet Tubman
February-March 2022 – Residency with Koresh Dance Company at Tempe Center for the Arts
April 1-2, 2022 – Shared Performance with CONDER/dance and Koresh Dance Company at TCA
June 3-4, 2022 – Desert Dance Theatre Alumni Showcase

Dancers are compensated for DDT Sponsored Events/Performance and Fee Engagements. Some engagements do not pay, but we will try our best to pay at least a stipend when monies are available.
