MAC presents BALLET FOLKLÓRICO DE MÉXICO DE AMALIA HERNÁNDEZ

In the year 1952, Amalia Hernández made the decision to form her own dance company. She created a small dance workshop that began with just eight members. The small cast, called “Modern Ballet of Mexico,” began to work sporadically in the Chopin Room, making presentations with choreographed work created by Amalia herself. After finding much success, the company adopted the challenge of continuing to experiment and contributing to the field of folklore.
