Tony Award winning choreographer Justin Peck’s works have dazzled on the world’s greatest stages. His dynamic and innovative style transcends traditional ballet and musical theater performance settings and has made him a sought after television and film choreographer. His most recent film credit is as choreographer for the Oscar nominated Steven Spielberg movie WEST SIDE STORY, solidifying his reputation as the next Jerome Robbins. His ballet IN CREASES is set to Philip Glass’ “Four Movements for Two Pianos,” and premiered in 2012, leading to Peck being named the New York City Ballet’s Resident Choreographer in 2014 and Artistic Advisor in 2019.

Enjoy the grandeur and majesty of classical ballet in this presentation of excerpts of the 1898 masterpiece Raymonda. Complete with stunning tutus and virtuosic dancing, this work celebrates our Ballet Tucson artists’ ability to bring new energy to traditional works.

Klein Perspectives is a collection of movement vignettes inspired by the art works of Yves Klein. An exploration of emotional tones, miscommunication and our relationships with ourselves and others. (Klein dually means “small” in Dutch and German.) Enjoy the final duet from this mesmerizing work by world-renowned choreographer Andrea Giselle Schermoly.
FELICITY FOUND
BALLET TUCSON PREMIERE

Music by Antonio Vivaldi
Originally a short digital work for Kansas City Ballet set in the opulent Kansas City Museum, Margaret Mullin will reimagine and expand her exuberant FELICITY FOUND for the stage this fall. Set to stirring music by Vivaldi and featuring a rich color palette inspired by the fall season, this work seeks to celebrate the incomparable joy, beauty, and rich human connection that dance brings to our lives.
