Scottsdale CC hosts Creative Connections (C2) Choreography Competition ($250 Scholarship) for High Schools |

Working on a great piece created by or for your high school dancers?  Submit the work now for consideration in the C2 Choreography Competition, hosted by Scottsdale Community College Dance (SCCD).  This event is a mechanism to connect AZ High School Dance, Scottsdale Community College Dance and the AZ Professional Dance communities.

Awards

One high school dance program will be chosen to:

• Have a $250 scholarship reserved at SCC for a designated graduate from their program (see details below)
• Perform the winning selection on the SCC Images in Motion dance concert, December 9 & 10, 2022

Eligibility Guidelines

1. Only one submission per school
2. All entries must be between 3-7 mins in length
3. Entries can be any style of dance
4. Works can be choreographed by students, faculty or guest artists.
5. All entries must be available to perform in the Fall SCC Images in Motion Concert and attend a technical rehearsal for setting of light cues.
6. Assumption of Risk and Talent Release forms will need to be completed and submitted for everyone involved in the performance prior to the Fall SCC Images in Motion Concert. Forms can be downloaded from this link.
7. The designated scholarship student will need to attend a formal scholarship audition at SCC and intent to pursue a Dance Major at SCC in order to be eligible to receive the award
8. Due to the nature of the competition, feedback for each entry cannot be provided.
