Cost: Entrance is included with paid Garden admission or Membership.
Celebrate Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, at the Garden during this two day family-oriented festival filled with music, dance, and storytelling that explore the beauty and symbols of this special holiday. This colorful tradition, celebrated throughout the American Southwest, Latin America, and Mexico, honors departed loved ones in a festive setting. In addition to enjoying live entertainment, families can browse the Mercado, make and add paper flowers to the Community Altar, and enjoy delicious food. Enjoy delicious food and browse the Mercado filled with art, jewelry, and other wares. At the end of each day, families are encouraged to participate in La Procesión. Members of Desert Dance Theatre and Step’s Junk Funk participate in La Procesión from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
