Class Description: Modern Dance Technique
This class starts with the power and grounded qualities of yoga and core conditioning while stretching the muscles for full mobility. The exercises while familiar are unique as they challenge the mover to explore strength and performance dynamics while utilizing the power of music. The class sequence moves through floor work to explore all boundaries in all dimensions to get to standing where the mover will challenge themselves with exercises inspired by ballet and modern technique with an added Dulce flavor where we challenge the body through balances, extensions, arches while achieving certain musical expressions. The movers will experience across the floor combos to challenge locomotive coordination while the class concludes with an expressive center combination and stretch. Your Daily Practice is key. With this class you will hone in on strengths while finding a challenge to refine. Dance is Life: Life is Dulce Therefore I have to say, La Vida es Dulce
