PHX Dynamic Observation Workshop Martha Eddy

$75 – $100Dynamic Observation: Understand your students better through careful movement observation. Learn to use the Dynamic Embodiment framework that combines elements of Laban Movement Analysis (BESS), BEST and the neuro-developmental principles of Body-Mind Centering (r) combined with Bartenieff Fundamentals (as in Brain Dance). Use this individualized assessment based on developmental and somatic frameworks to create lesson plans. Apply the knowledge gained with any group of children or youth including those with learning, behavioral/ emotional and physical disabilities. Applications to adult education can be made.
Martha Eddy, CMA, RSMT, EdD is a founder of the field of Somatic Movement Education & Therapy & Dance Scomatics, author and lecturer on eco-somatics, neuro-motor & socio-emotional development, & peace education . She’s taught for NYU, Princeton, Columbia, Hope & Hampshire Colleges. Her clients range from pre-natal to elders. She teaches her system of “BodyMind Dancing” internationally, & master classes for the Laban/Bartenieff Institute, School for Body-Mind Centering® and her Dynamic Embodiment SMTT. She directs the Center for Kinesthetic Education providing professional development and pre-K-12 and adult “healthy dancing.” She developed Moving For Life DanceExercise for Cancer Recovery in 1996. Moving For Life (www.movingforlife.org) has been featured on NY1, CNN, Fox News, the Today Show and CBS.
