Experimental Art Night Mesa

February 18, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC-7

An Evening of Experimental Performances at [nueBOX]

[nueBOX] will be hosting Experimental Art Night [EAN], a free evening of diverse performances featuring performance art, classical Indian dance, animated visuals, and a high school theater improvisation troupe. It will take place in the Acting Studio at Mesa Arts Center.

EAN is a laboratory evening providing performance artists with a supportive environment to perform works-in-progress, completed pieces, or performance experiments. EAN provides an open-mic night for performance-based artists to present their work in front of an informal audience of adventurous community members.

Eileen Standley, with special guest Jen Urso, will perform “next to you” a performance and visual art project that tracks spaces between bodies, architecture, thoughts, and breaths. Casey Farina is a digital media artist who will give an audio/visual performance that explores the scientific process. Other performances during the evening include classical Indian dance by Asha Gopal Dance Company, contemporary dance works by MAC & Company and Kara Ko, and theatrical improvisation by Long Range Archers.

For performance artists interested in showing work at the next Experimental Art Night on April 15, they can register online at www.nuebox.org/experimentalartnight.
