About Bernard’s Class:

Afro-Contemporary Technique
This fast-paced and educational class will challenge participants to engage body, mind, and spirit. You’ll learn movement phrases, push beyond technique, and explore your individual performance choices. The class focuses on breath, alignment, and articulation, drawing from various influences, including Africanist aesthetics, Dunham, and Horton techniques.

Bernard Brown is an exceptionally talented and remarkable artist. I hold immense love and respect for him, his work, craftsmanship, and teaching. I hope many of you have the opportunity to attend his classes, here with BlakTinx on Monday or at Scottsdale Community College this week!
