Chandler-Gilbert Community College presents IN MOTION: Student Dance Showcase. Students have an opportunity to present their own choreographic work in two main stage productions each year. These students range from dance majors, dance enthusiasts, and returning professionals. Each student is free to explore movement that inspires them as an artist. Students receive intent-based constructive feedback from faculty and peers. CGCC has a unique ability to mentor future dance artists with its newly remodeled 39,000 square foot music and dance rehearsal space.  The new space showcases two new dance rooms.  The larger space totals 2,442 square feet for technique classes and larger ensemble rehearsals.  The second studio space at 982 square feet allows students and faculty additional rehearsal space, making CGCC’s dance program unique to dance artists in the east valley.  Come and enjoy an evening of dance highlighting students’ efforts at CGCC this spring.

CGCC offers a two-year degree in dance, AAFA-Dance.  The program focuses on dance as an art form with particular attention to dance theory and its relationship to the development of good technical skills.
