ADC mbrs perform NDEO Natl Conf PHX
National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) is holding their National Conference at Point Hilton Tapatio Cliff Resort in Phoenix. The overlying topic is FOCUS ON DANCE EDUCATION: Engaging in the Artistic Processes ~ Creating, Performing, Responding, Connecting. Many ADC members will be participating in presenting, teaching and performing. Intensives start on Wednesday, Oct 7, as early as 9 am and continue through 8:30 pm. The official start is Thursday, October 8, and concludes Saturday evening. Exhibitors will be open from 9 am – 5 pm Thursday-Friday, and 9 am – 4 pm Saturday. ADC will have a table. Stop by and say HI.

AzDEO (our NDEO state affiliate) will be facilitating a Movement Exchange (place and time to experiment with movement ideas) in the Sunrise C Room: Thursday 8:30 am and 1 pm, Friday 10 am and 2:30 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am and 2:30 pm.
Scorpius Dance Theatre will be holding an Intensive “Aerial Silks” Class on Wednesday, 12-3 pm, at their own facility and a bus transport is included in the fee.
Susannah Keita (Grand Canyon U) and Janaea McAlee (Estrella Mtn CC) will lead an Intensive on Wednesday, 2-4 pm, entitled Duncan and Dunham: Embodied Philosophies and Practices, in room Highland 3.
Janaea McAlee will be part of a panel discussing Finding Equal Footing: Community College Dance Programs on Friday, 10 am, Sunset B.
Rebecca Rabideau will be presenting a paper on Developing a Creative community: A Service Learning Project in Creative Aging through Choreographic Process on Friday, 11:30 am, Courtroom M.
