Ojalá will be a collaboration of Arizona’s finest flamenco artists uniting to create a series of events benefiting Arms of Love Foster Care. In Spanish, “Ojalá” translates as “Hopefully” and it is the energy of hope that inspires this project. Presentations of Ojalá will highlight both traditional and experimental flamenco works, acknowledging the value of both heritage and imagination in art and in altruism. This event seeks to comfort and inspire those who find themselves in the path of suffering and pain, even as children, and to provide hope of fresh beginnings, peace in the midst of trials, and joy in grace.
Ojalá will feature:
Misael Barraza (guitar)
Macarena Giraldez (singer)
Olivia Rojas (singer)
Angelina Ramirez (dancer)
Jason Martinez (dancer/percussionist)
Mele Martinez (dancer)
Adrian Goldenthal (bass/upright bass)
Diana Olivares (violin/vocals)
Events may be viewed in these formats: list, week, day, map, photo and month.
Serving Arizona's dance communities and "creating connections" between the dancers and the general public.
