Phoenix Ballet “Ballet Moods”
Performance by Phoenix Ballet: Ballet Moods, featuring world-class classical and contemporary pieces. It’s a journey through time! Enjoy excerpts from one of the most beautiful and romantic traditional classical ballets, Paquita, which premiered at the Paris Opera House in 1846, staged by Slawomir Wozniak and Irena Wozniak. Then, jump forward in time to present day and experience the awe of movement with Resident Choreographer Albert Blaise Cattafi’s highly praised String of Thoughts, a moving contemporary masterpiece of emotion and passion. Mr. Cattafi has choreographed for many including John Legend and Cirque du Soleil. Then, see the technical strength of Phoenix Ballet dancers as they perform a world premiere by renowned choreographer Francisco Gella! Phoenix Ballet dancers, including world renowned principal dancer Juliet Doherty, will perform these ballets with masterful technique and power that will leave audiences breathless and wanting more. Phoenix Ballet is under the artistic direction of Slawomir Wozniak, known throughout the world for his dancing, choreography, dance training, and teaching.
