COMEDY! DANCE! MUSIC!

After six years of amazing comedy shows on Congress, Comedy for Charity returns to the Fox Tucson Theatre on Sunday, April 23rd, with its latest gala, Thank You For Serving: The Benefit.  A special benefit honoring veterans, the event will feature intelligent comedy and adrenaline fueled entertainment. “It’s going to be a belter of a show. I want an audience to feel completely entertained in every aspect when they buy a ticket to see Thank You for Serving,” says Suzie Sexton, Executive Producer.

The fundraiser will feature sophisticated hip hop to make your eyes pop by Egokillaz, a performance by Arizona’s #1 Barbie Doll, Diva Janee Starr, aka William Gerald; tap dance by the Rodeo City Wreckettes; and the intrepid David Fitzsimmons as Emcee.

Headlining the show is Tommy Blaze, as he jokes about the ultimate battle of the sexes—marriage. Feature act Michael Garvey is a comedian from Annapolis, Maryland. He is a decorated veteran who was shot twice in Afghanistan and awarded the Purple Heart. He is appearing with his service dog Liberty to perform comedy, and we aren’t sure who will be funnier—him or his dog.

Superb music by Los Guapos and Kate Becker will round out this groundbreaking event. All proceeds will go to local charities, including Rally Point, a nonprofit that assists veterans and Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse.
