With each Solstice celebration we envision honoring the interconnectedness of our humanity as we connect with the world around us and honor those who came before us. ZUZI! Dance 25th Winter Solstice “Pillars of Light” Celebration, a highly meaningful and captivating event. This year’s Solstice theme is centered around Trees, exploring the multifaceted symbolism of trees, their strength, individuality, and interconnectedness. We will evoke themes of growth, resilience, and the shared experience of nature and humanity.
This year’s celebration will feature choreography by Cofounder and Artistic Director Nanette Robinson and special guest artists: Andrea Gudone, 520 Dance Company, Kiona Daelyn, Katharine Harts and more.
Mariana de la Vega Art Gallery is thrilled to announce a transformative collaboration with ZUZI! Dance for Pillars of Light, a captivating art exhibit and performance series that explores universal themes of transformation, resilience, and interconnectedness. This immersive exhibition will run from December 14 to December 27, 2024, with the opening reception on December 14, featuring a live dance performance by ZUZI! Dance. Gallery Location: 1918 E. Winter Solstice Celebration performances will take place on December 20th at 7:30pm and December 21st at 2pm and 7:30pm at The Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre. General admission: $25.
