Description: Like Lazarus Did is a work inspired by the mythology of resurrection. Featured themes stretch from early pagan culture to contemporary times of transcendence, elevation and regeneration, exploring notions of transformation and rebirth. The performance highlights acclaimed choreographer, Stephen Petronio’s rich kinetic movement language and an original electro-acoustic score that draws from a range of music and texts, from early American slave songs to the meditative drones of Eastern mysticism.
